April 25 (UPI) -- A snake researcher challenged her Twitter followers to spot a camouflaged snake hiding among a bed of leaves.

The researcher named Helen shared the photo she received from one of her colleagues which featured a copperhead snake nearly completely hidden by the surrounding pile of brown leaves.

"Received this from a fellow HERper this morning. No caption needed, the task was implied: 'can you spot the snake?'" Helen wrote.

Many of Helen's followers expressed difficulty finding the snake and were concerned about the potential of accidentally stepping on the reptile while out for a stroll.

She assured that the species of snake, while deadly, is actually "pretty chill" and outlined where the snake was in the photo to help others spot its camouflaged body.

"If y'all haven't found it yet... Copperhead, aka Agkistrodon contortrix," she said. "Cute but venomous, so no touchy!"
