New Orleans preschool burglar recorded snacking, napping

April 20 (UPI) -- Security cameras were recording when a burglar at a New Orleans preschool apparently decided to live the toddler life, complete with snacks and nap time.

New Orleans police said the footage shows a man entering through an unlocked window at Clara's Little Lambs Preschool in the Algiers neighborhood about 11 p.m. Monday.

The video shows the man wandering through several rooms before helping himself to some food and beverages in the staff break room.

The man is then seen creating a makeshift bed from stuffed animals and other objects before settling down for a nap.

"The suspect was then seen on surveillance video at about 6:43 a.m. exiting the location through the same window through which he gained entry, carrying two bags of stolen property and fleeing in an unknown direction," the department said.

Police are asking for the public's help to identify the suspect.
