"This evening a Dorchester crew were mobilized along with the specialist Animal Rescue team from Poole Fire Station, to rescue a cow from a swimming pool in Plush," firefighters said.

A spokesman for the Dorchester Fire Station said the station received the call about the stranded cow at about 7:06 p.m. on Tuesday.

It was unclear how the cow made it into the pool, but it was not injured during the incident.
