England truck driver fined for making lunch on truck's fuel tank

March 22 (UPI) -- A truck driver in England stopped to prepare a meal on the fuel tank of his vehicle along the side of the road.

BCH Road Policing shared a photo of the tomatoes and onions the driver was using to prepare a salad while on the side of a highway near the city of St. Albans outside London.

"The hardshoulder of the M25 is probably not the best place to start preparing your dinner," the law enforcement group wrote.

A road policing officer told the BBC the driver, who some commenters commended for his healthy eating choices, was issued a fine.

"The driver stopped on hard shoulder for rest break and decided to make his lunch on the diesel tank. [He was] issued with a graduated fine," the officer said.
