March 14 (UPI) -- A visitor to an Irish supermarket captured video of an unusual customer -- a sea otter -- running through the store after wandering in the front door.

Darragh McDonagh posted a video to YouTube showing the otter running around the Tesco store in Castlebar, County Mayo.

"It's looking for the river," a man's voice says.

McDonagh said he had trouble grabbing the otter after the video ended.

"He was trying to bite me, so I set him down, and he ran under some shopping trolleys," McDonagh told Storyful. "I tried to hold him in a way that would stop him from biting me, but he squirmed and used his back legs."

He said he was eventually able to carry the otter to a nearby lake and released it, but not before receiving several bites from the ungrateful animal.

McDonagh said what "hurt the most" was the cost of getting a tetanus shot after the incident.
