Jan. 22 (UPI) -- Indiana State Police said traffic was slowed but there was still plenty of rolling going on when a truck lost its load of 38,000 pounds of marbles.

The state police said the truck was hauling the marbles on Interstate 465 in Indianapolis when the vehicle's trailer came loose and spilled the tiny balls all over the embankment of southbound I-465, near the Pendleton Pike exit.

Police said there were no injuries and one lane of the road was expected to be closed for most of the day while crews worked to clean up the mess.

"A truck driver has lost his marbles..." State Police spokesman John Perrine tweeted. "Literally, 38,000 pounds of them on I-465 SB at the 41mm."
