The Dodge County Sheriff's Office said in a Facebook post that deputies found the hundreds of thousands of red Skittles littering County Highway S, near Blackbird Road, at 8:51 p.m. Tuesday night. The Skittles had been deemed unfit for packaging and were en route to be fed to cattle, the sheriff's office said. "In the end these Skittles are actually for the birds!" the post said. The Dodge County Highway Department was notified and a cleanup effort was launched on the road.
