Jan. 18 (UPI) -- A Florida man whose premature "Dallas Cowboys Super Bowl LI Champions" tattoo went viral is doubling down on his optimism by changing it to next year.

Jordan Garnett, 24, made viral waves in December when he optimistically got the tattoo for his favorite team, which ended up being eliminated out of the playoffs Sunday by the Green Bay Packers.

Garnett, who said he received death threats from angry fans who claimed he "jinxed" the team, said after Sunday's game that he was taking time to consider what to do about the tattoo.

"I need a bit to recollect. I will make a statement in the next couple of days. I really believed this was our year," Garnett wrote on Twitter.

He unveiled the solution Tuesday on Twitter -- adding an extra Roman numeral "I" to turn "Super Bowl LI" into "Super Bowl LII," next year's game.

"'Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly.' I know 100%. I had a vision! @dallascowboys SUPER BOWL 52 CHAMPS!" Garnett tweeted.
