Monster gator recorded at Florida reserve compared to 'dinosaur' and 'Godzilla'

LAKELAND, Fla., Jan. 17 (UPI) -- A visitor to a Florida wildlife reserve captured video of a gargantuan gator dubbed a "dinosaur" by social media users.

Kim Joiner posted a video to Facebook showing the alligator crossing the MMR trail at the Polk Nature Discovery Center in Lakeland's Circle B Bar Reserve.

Joiner said the video, which features numerous stunned visitors snapping photos of the massive reptile, shows "Nature at its best."

She estimated the alligator was about 12 feet long.

Social media users compared the huge alligator to a "dinosaur" and "Godzilla."
