RATHDRUM, Idaho, Dec. 14 (UPI) -- A team of Idaho teenagers preparing to launch a time capsule into space revealed their latest addition -- an autographed copy of Taylor Swift's album 1989.

Erik Finman, 18, leader of the team of high schoolers who are working to launch their satellite after winning a NASA mission award, revealed on Twitter that Swift sent them a copy of her 1989 album to be uploaded into the satellite.

Finman said Swift's autograph from the album will be engraved on the side of the satellite.

The team's "Project Da Vinci Spaceship," which is raising funds on Kickstarter, aims to collect music, movies, and videos submitted by members of the public to be launched into space on a small satellite known as a CubeSat. The satellite will communicate with another satellite to allow Internet users to access Project Da Vinci's content.

"We are teenagers frustrated by the lack of innovation in space," Finman said in November. "We wanted to do something to bring back the magic of the Apollo days. We wanted to create a spaceship for everyone."

The team is hoping to launch their CubeSat in July.
