KLAMATH FALLS, Ore., Dec. 2 (UPI) -- A man taking drone footage of an Oregon lake flew in for a closer look at a swimming animal that turned out to be a black bear.

Gerald Holt posted a video to YouTube showing the drone footage he captured over Upper Klamath Lake, where he said a fisherman pointed him toward something large moving through the water.

Holt flew his drone close enough to discover the object was in fact a black bear out for a swim.

"The drone was flown well above the bear so as to not alarm or disturb it," he wrote in the video's description. "Special thanks to Scott Ross who spotted the bear."
