Monkey panics when mouse invades enclosure at British zoo

DUDLEY, England, Nov. 7 (UPI) -- A monkey at a British zoo was filmed having a very human-like panic reaction at the sight of an enclosure-invading mouse.

The video, filmed Friday, shows a lar gibbon at England's Dudley Zoo standing on a wooden post and waving its arms in apparent fear while a mouse runs around on the ground nearby.

The monkey hops down from the pole and waves its arms as if to shoo the mouse away, but the primate retreats as the rodent comes closer.

A second gibbon shows up to help its comrade and chases the mouse out of the enclosure.
