Kemah Police Department shared photos as officers responded to a call about someone trapped in a storm drain to find a kitten instead. Advertisement Kemah police Sgt. Barmore and Officer Staton attempted to call the kitten toward them, and decided to offer a tantalizing snack to draw it out. "They both got into opposite ends of the drain and crawled in to rescue the kitten," police said. "After getting the kitten to notice a snack from Whataburger, the kitten was rescued." Officers temporarily named the kitten "Chicken" and brought it to Galveston Animal Control where it will be prepared for adoption, according to Click 2 Houston. "The line to adopt the kitten has already begun," police said. "Sgt. Barmore and a few Whataburger employees will look to adopt the kitten if the owner is not found."
