Mount Olive police shared a photo of an officer attempting to hoist the deer out of the water after the homeowner found it trapped in the pool cover as it struggled to escape. Advertisement "The homeowner had awoken to find the struggling doe entangled in the pool cover and frantically trying to escape," police said. Sgt. Carl Mase arrived at the scene as he worked to cut the deer out of the pull cover and pull it up from the water. The deer took a brief rest after Mase managed to pull it out of the water and eventually ran back into the woods.
