AUSTIN, Texas, Oct. 26 (UPI) -- A Texas county commissioner is aiming to lighten the tone of the election season with a campaign ad featuring his concerned wife.

Geralf Daugherty, who is seeking re-election to the Travis County Commissioners Court for Precinct 3, released a campaign ad online featuring his wife, Charlyn.

The video begins with the couple doing dishes together while Gerald drones on about policy.

"Gerald really doesn't have any hobbies," Charlyn tells the camera.

The following scene shows Gerald discussing tax code over the barbecue grill with another man while Charlyn and another woman watch from inside.

"So, is he always like that?" the woman asks.

"Yeah, all the time." Charlyn replies.

"Most people leave their work at the office," Charlyn says, leading into a montage of Gerald assisting with household activities while continuing to drone on. "All he wants to do is fix things."

Gerald seems to raise his wife's concern level when he says, "You know, I think I like helping around the house here.

"Please re-elect Gerald," Charlyn says with a desperate expression. "Please."
