"My niece is in fifth grade and got her first love note," he wrote. "This fifth-grader has more game than I'll ever have."

The letter addressed to the poster's niece, Abby, begins in poetic fashion as the young student poured out his feelings for his classmate.

"Your eyes remind me of the evening sky," the note read. "My heart felt like broken glass until I saw you, and then I felt like I had every Pokemon ever."

The unidentified student went on to express how he appreciated Abby's shared love of video games.

"I love how you play Zelda even when people think it's weird," he wrote. "If you liked me it would be my first ever victory."

It was unclear whether Abby accepted the heartfelt proposal, but the youngster's words captured the hearts of many Reddit users.
