Aardvarks face the consequences of messing with a meerkat at British zoo

BLACKPOOL, England, Oct. 7 (UPI) -- A pair of curious aardvarks at a British zoo were caught on camera learning a valuable lesson: Don't mess with the meerkat.

The video shows the two aardvarks curiously approaching the much smaller creature Thursday at the Blackpool Zoo as it appears to ignore them.

The meerkat turns to face the aardvarks when they sniff at it with their long snouts, an action the other animal appears to find offensive.

The meerkat lunges at the aardvarks, causing them to flee at an accelerated speed from the tiny animal.
