DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, Sept. 29 (UPI) -- An online tech vlogger tested the durability of the iPhone 7 by dropping it from the world's tallest building.

YouTube user TechRax shared video of himself dropping the newly released jet black iPhone 7 Plus from the 148th floor of the Burj Khalifa skyscraper in Dubai.

The phone was tossed over the railing of the massive skyscraper before plummeting 2,717 feet onto the streets below.

After the drop, TechRax was unable to locate the phone using the "Find my iPhone" GPS location feature which indicated the phone had gone offline.

He speculated that the impact of the fall ultimately destroyed the phone, causing too much damage for it to be tracked.
