YISHUN, Singapore, Sept. 28 (UPI) -- A golfer attempted to scare away a pair of birds who angrily defended a golfball they mistook for an egg.

Pranjal Borkotoky shared video of himself swinging at the disgruntled birds at Orchid Country Club in Singapore.

"Those who think golf is not an adventure sport, meet Mr. and Mrs. Birdies who put up real bad fight claiming my golf ball as their egg," he wrote.

Borkotoky gently waved his golf club at the birds as he attempted to reason with them and pleaded with them to allow him to continue his game.

His efforts were ultimately unsuccessful as the birds continued to squawk loudly while keeping an eye on the ball.
