"I wasn't trying to time travel," Mills told The Guardian. "It was at 11 a.m. on Sunday and the road was completely clear."
Mills added he paid $29,132 for the vehicle, as a car fan and a fan of the films and only takes it out on the road a few times a year.
"When I'm out in it a few people recognize it, they slow down and take pictures – drivers take pictures out of their windows or try to film you and I get approached at petrol stations," he said.
Mills decided to fight the case, but it was ultimately thrown out after prosecution offered no evidence according to The Telegraph.
"I was fed up, like most motorists, of being a law-abiding citizen but a soft target for the traffic police," he said.
