WARWICKSHIRE, England, Sept. 2 (UPI) -- A woman in England called an ambulance to take her home, complaining of sore feet after a day of shopping.

Audio of a 999 call shared by the Stratford-upon-Avon Herald documents the conversation between the 32-year-old woman and an emergency dispatcher.

"I've been on my feet all day and now my feet are hurting me so much that I can't walk -- they're burning," she said, according to the BBC.

The woman told the emergency dispatcher she had to walk home two miles and she would not be able to complete the trip in her condition.

"If there is a medical reason why you can't walk then we would be taking you to the nearest available emergency department," the operator said.

When the woman asked how she would be able to get home from there, the operator responded that her transport was unrelated to the ambulance service.
