SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Aug. 31 (UPI) -- An Arizona fire department made their third snake capture in one month after finding a 7-foot Red-Tail boa on Monday.

Scottsdale Fire Department shared a video showing off the recently captured snakes which included two albino snakes measuring 9 and 10 feet long and the newly caught boa, all found in the same area.

"We are pretty familiar with snake removals, but we aren't quite sure what's going on in the area of 75th and Osborn where our crews rescued a third large snake in a month," they wrote.

According to KNXV, the first python was claimed by its owner while the other two were taken to the Phoenix Herpetological Society.

Phoenix Herpetological Society President Russ Johnson said they were unsure what was causing the recent outbreak of escaped snakes.

"My personal opinion is somebody is not securing the cages. I know the question was asked, 'Is somebody releasing them?' I don't think that's the case at all. I think somebody is doing a pretty poor job of securing their animals," he said.

Johnson added that the owner could face charges for releasing non-native species or animal abuse due to the condition the snakes were found in.

One of the pythons came to Johnson underweight and the boa had scrapes on its head and neck which could be indicative of an escape from its enclosure.
