JUPITER, Fla., Aug. 30 (UPI) -- A freediver off the Florida coast encountered a group of blacktip sharks and filmed his up-close encounter with the "elusive" sea creatures.

The video, filmed last month, shows diver Bartolomeo Bove swimming fearlessly with the blacktip sharks off the coast of Jupiter, in Palm Beach County.

One of the blacktip sharks appears to bump into Bove while he's swimming and changes directions.

"I filmed my close encounter with blacktip sharks, which is rare because of their elusive nature," Bove wrote online. "Blacktip sharks are fast, strong and smart."
