NIPISSING, Ontario, Aug. 30 (UPI) -- A camera set up to capture footage of Ontario wildlife drew the attention of some bears that slapped the GoPro to the ground and tasted it.

Megan Lorenz set up her GoPro camera in a spot where bears had been spotted in the past in the hopes of capturing footage of a mother and her two cubs.

Lorenz' camera was successful in spotting the bears, which noticed the camera watching them and came in for a closer look.

One of the curious animals swats at the camera with a paw, knocking it to the ground. The bear can then be seen licking the camera before abandoning it to record video of the sky.

Lorenz previously discovered her GoPro was "bear proof" when a bear she nicknamed Maggie encountered the recording device on a trail in June and gave it a good swat to the ground before using her mouth to chew on the device's casing.
