The Drammen Region Fire Brigade posted a photo to Facebook showing Cato Berntsen Larsen's hands reaching up from inside the commode as firefighters responded to the "special case" Friday morning. Berntsen Larsen, an amateur diver, told Norwegian newspaper VG he "did not think twice" about leaping into action when his friend dropped a cellphone into the toilet and called for help. The rescuer said he immediately threw up inside the toilet's reservoir. "I panicked because I hate confined spaces," he said. "It was... disgusting -- the worst I have experienced. There were animals down there too." Berntsen Larsen said firefighters were called when he discovered he was trapped. He said he was "apparently slim enough to go down but not slim enough to come up again." The toilet diver was taken to a hospital for injuries to his upper arms and preventative antibiotics due to the waste he was exposed to inside the commode.
