TAIPEI, Taiwan, Aug. 23 (UPI) -- A Pokemon Go player in Taiwan captured video showing a flood of fellow players stampeding through a street to catch a rare Pokemon.

The video, posted to Facebook, shows hundreds of people streaming through a street in Taipei Saturday when a Snorlax, a hard-to-find variety of digital monster in the augmented reality game, was reported near Beitou Park.

The uploader said the crowd waited for traffic signals before trudging through the road.

"Everyone suddenly surged to one direction when the red light switched off to green," she wrote.

The woman said she was personally unsuccessful in capturing the Snorlax.
