TANGALOOMA, Australia, Aug. 1 (UPI) -- An Australian island resort shared video of an albino humpback whale passing through waters off the Gold Coast while making his annual migration.

The Tangalooma Island Resort said in a Facebook post the footage was filmed from the air Tuesday by Pilot Charlie of the Tangalooma Helicopter Service.

The white whale in the video is believed to be Migaloo, an albino humpback that famously passes by the Australian coast each year on his way to the Great Barrier Reef.

The state of Queensland declared a 1,640-foot exclusion zone around Migaloo to prevent onlookers from interfering with the white whale's migration.
