DIGGINS, Mo., July 20 (UPI) -- A black bear was spotted poking around a Missouri woman's backyard, showing interest in a wooden deer.

Barbara Woodruff shared video of the curious black bear as it made its way out from a nearby wooded area to sniff the wooden deer during what she said was one of several visits.

"Another visit this morning. No, he is not being fed. Yes, he scared the crap out of me," she wrote. "He was on the back patio when I walked out the door."

The bear can be seen returning to bite the wooden deer's face before standing on its hind legs to knock the lawn decoration over.

Woodruff said she will continue her efforts to contact the conservation office about the bear, but believed she did a good job of frightening it.

"Yes, I scared it too," she wrote. "At least I think I did."
