Watermelon carved to look like panda's face for her third birthday

TAIPEI, Taiwan, July 11 (UPI) -- A Taiwan zoo celebrated a giant panda's third birthday by presenting her with a watermelon "cake" designed to look like a panda's face.

Giant panda Yuan Zai marked her third birthday Wednesday at the Taipei Zoo and zookeepers celebrated the occasion by presenting her with a watermelon that was carved to look like a panda's face and filled with ice.

The panda melon was adorned with a number "3" and included a stick of bamboo.

The video shows the "cake" being presented to Yuan Zai, who happily begins to eat the sculpted treat.
