BLAGOVESHCHENSK, Russia, June 29 (UPI) -- A Russian driver's rural cruise slowed to a crawl when a rare Oriental white stork decided to walk the road in front of the car.

Dashboard camera footage recorded Monday in Russia's Far East, in the Blagoveshchensky District, shows the rare, long-legged bird walking casually down a rural road while the car follows at an ultra-slow pace.

The driver repeatedly honks the vehicle's horn, but the stork appears undisturbed and continues its slow-paced stroll.

There are believed to be only about 3,000 Oriental white storks remaining in Russia.
