WEST PLAINS, Mo., June 28 (UPI) -- A Missouri State Highway Patrol cruiser's dashboard camera recorded a black bear running headlong into a moving pickup truck on the highway and surviving.

The highway patrol posted a video to Facebook showing the dashcam footage of a black bear running across Highway 60 in Howell County and colliding with the side of a pickup truck.

The bear, seeming dazed but not seriously injured, picks itself up and runs the rest of the way across the road on wobbly legs.

"Although the bear in this video was not seriously injured, it creates the potential for a dangerous encounter with an injured bear," the post said. "If you strike a bear on the highway, contact the Highway Patrol and remain inside your vehicle until the trooper arrives."
