ORANGE, Mass., June 22 (UPI) -- A grandmother in Massachusetts crossed an item off her bucket list by skydiving in celebration of her birthday.

Janis Lefebre's children coordinated the 13,500-foot freefall for her in celebration of her 87th birthday, and chronicled the stunt in a YouTube video.

"My fearless mom just jumped out of an airplane!" Her son wrote.

Lefebre was surrounded by her family as she boarded the plane and told The Recorder that the experience lived up to her expectations.

"For my first try, it was perfect," she said. "It's almost like you want to go up again and see the sights. I wouldn't hesitate to do it again."
