SAN FRANCISCO, June 21 (UPI) -- A former NASA engineer in California posted a video showing his latest world-changing accomplishment: the world's largest functioning Nerf gun.

Mark Rober, a former NASA engineer who spent seven years on the Curiosity Rover project, posted a video to YouTube showing his much larger recreation of a classic Nerf pistol that shoots oversize darts distances of more than 130 yards.

Rober's gun, which is powered by a 3000 psi paintball tank, shoots darts made from pool noodles and toilet plungers.

The video shows Rober compare the effects of his creation to a normal-size Nerf pistol wielded by a friend.

"I made the world's largest Nerf gun to defend my honor," Rober wrote in the video's description.
