BECKFORD, England, June 9 (UPI) -- A seagull in the United Kingdom was left with its feathers dyed orange after poking too far into a vat of curry powder.

‎Lucy Kells of Vale Wildlife Hospital & Rehabilitation Centre shared photos of the curry-loving bird that was rescued after being found covered in the orange powder near a factory in Wales.

"I don't think any of us have experienced such an orange greasy gull to deal with before..but boy did he smell good!" Kells wrote on Facebook.

Kells said they believed the seagull fell into a waste container while trying to snatch a piece of curry for itself.

The center saw to it that the bird was cleaned up and said it did not suffer any lasting effects from its messy meal.

"We've cleaned him up and he is doing well, with no upset tummy!" Kells wrote. "Hopefully he'll stick to a much more bland diet in the future!"
