CINCINNATI, May 26 (UPI) -- Zookeepers in Ohio fitted a cheetah with a GoPro camera to capture footage of the animal running at high speeds.

The Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden attached the camera to their resident cheetah Savannah and filmed her running around her enclosure in what they believe to be the first video of its kind.

"This amazing video shows you a never seen before perspective of a cheetah running at top speed!" They wrote.

Savannah can be seen running at blinding speeds as she chases a piece of meat while running a lap around her enclosure.

Slow motion footage captured by the camera revealed that Savannah's head remained largely stationary while her body moved wildly, allowing her to generate more speed.

Cat Ambassador Trainer Alicia Sampson said the team had no trouble placing the camera on Savannah, noting that she is used to being fitted with various harnesses and collars.
