SIMON'S TOWN, South Africa, May 3 (UPI) -- Kitchen staff at a South African restaurant were recorded on video ushering an adorable intruder -- an African penguin -- out of the eatery's kitchen.

A video posted to YouTube by Adriaan den Hartog shows laughing workers at the Boulders Beach Lodge and Restaurant in Simon's Town chasing after the tiny penguin after it found its way into the eatery's kitchen.

A worker tries to use a push broom to escort the penguin toward the door, but the flightless bird has other ideas and flees further into the restaurant.

The penguin circumnavigates a table in the restaurant's lobby and makes one last attempt to dash off in another direction before allowing itself to be shooed out the door.

"Every so often a curious penguin finds himself wandering into the kitchen of the Boulders Beach Lodge and Restaurant and they don't always willingly go out again!" den Hartog wrote in the video's description.
