TULUM, Mexico, May 2 (UPI) -- A group of tourists watching dolphins swim in Mexico captured the moment a particularly enthusiastic dolphin jumped onto their boat.

The video, posted to YouTube by Dutch tourist Louis Fikkert, shows the tour group watching a pod of dolphins swimming and jumping between several boats in Sian Ka'an.

The dolphins come close to the group's boat, and one dolphin in particular comes especially close and lands on the deck of the vessel.

The tourists are initially fearful of the aquatic invader, but reinforcements soon arrive in a second boat and the people are able to calm the dolphin by covering its face and lift it back into the water.

Witnesses applaud the rescuers as the dolphin swims away, apparently uninjured.
