"We'd like to say a HUGE thank you to this stag party of 16 who helped our Broads Beat officers in their moment of need!" Norfolk police wrote in an Instagram post.

The group were preparing for a sailing trip in the area when they noticed police attempting to free the car and the attached boat from the mud.

"They all mucked in to help push out our stuck truck and Broads Beat boat from the mud," police wrote.

Once the vehicles were free the group posed for a photo in celebration of their efforts.
