Runaway goat grins in selfie with animal control officer

NORFOLK, Va., March 29 (UPI) -- A runaway goat in Virginia smiled for a selfie with an animal control officer after a "brief foot pursuit" that police said did not end in charges.

The Norfolk Police Department said Animal Control Officers Adam Blankenship and Nicholas Calnan sprinted into action Thursday when a rogue goat was spotted wandering the streets near a school.

"After a brief foot pursuit by the goat was apprehended," police said in a Facebook post.

The goat appeared to be smiling in a photo snapped with one of the animal control officers.

"No charges will be filed against the goat! He was just enjoying the springtime weather," the post said.
