QUEENSCLIFF, Australia, March 28 (UPI) -- A high-tech Easter bunny in Australia attached a basket of goodies to a camera drone and delivered the treats to beach visitors.

Adam Rikys, 34, of Queenscliff, Victoria, posted a video to YouTube showing how he donned an Easter bunny costume and used his quadcopter drone to lower the basket of treats to beach-goers, paddleboarders and even a family aboard a boat.

Rikys was assisted by friend Hamish Cross, 28.

"We thought it would be a pretty fun idea to spread a bit of Easter love," Rikys told the Manly Daily. "Hamish came up with the idea -- he's an expert drone pilot, and he's teaching me."

Cross said the beach-goers were amused by the stunt.

"First people were cracking up. It caught them off guard. You saw them peering at the writing which was on the basket and said 'please take one' and they'd kind of click. It was pretty funny," he said.
