"Keep your eyes out before giving choc rabbits to friends or kids. Hopefully the [expletive] that did this did it only once as a joke," Oakley wrote. "Will be reporting this tomorrow."
He said in a comment that he believes the syringe to be the work of a prankster who targeted the candy long after it left the factory.
"Looks like someone peeled back the foil and jammed it inside and then put the foil back in place. The loose bit of chocolate was still inside," he wrote in a comment.
Some Facebook users on Woolworth's official page accused Oakley of perpetrating a hoax, while friends took to the page to support his account of events.
How's this for an Easter surprise. My mum bought this at Canterbury Garden Woolworths in Kilsyth. Keep your eyes out...
