PARIS, March 22 (UPI) -- Creators of the Pokemon franchise celebrated the video game's 20th anniversary by unveiling a massive mosaic of its mascot made completely out of trading cards.
The Pokemon Company shared a photo of the record-breaking mosaic, featuring well-known mascot Pikachu, to their Facebook page after it was unveiled in Paris, France.
"To celebrate 20 years of Pokemon, we set a new world record for the largest mosaic made of trading cards!," They wrote.
U.K. artist Quentin Devine used 12,987 Pokemon trading cards to create the mural, which is 32 feet tall and 22 feet wide.
The thousands of card create an image of one large trading card, featuring an image of Pikachu originally drawn by series artist Ken Sugimori.
