A pair of videos posted to Twitter by user @2jrb123 shows the Easter bunny and an adult male in a brown shirt repeatedly attacking one another and being pulled apart by other customers and mall security officers.
Morrill said the 22-year-old man in the Easter bunny suit told police the other man involved in the fight was the father of a 1-year-old girl who had fallen out of the chair after taking a photo with the holiday character.
The bunny's actor said the father verbally and physically attacked him after the young girl fell.
Morrill said both participants in the mall brawl were taken to Jersey City Medical Center-Barnabas Health to be treated for minor injuries.
She said the investigation into the incident was ongoing and no charges had been filed as of Monday morning.
