WHITEMAN, Australia, March 9 (UPI) -- A cuddle-crazy kangaroo at an Australian park got a little too friendly with a U.S. tourist and had to be pulled off of the laughing woman.

Richard Larkin McLay, a student at the College of St. Benedict and Saint John's University in Collegeville, Minn., traveled to Australia with 21 classmates and captured video of a fellow student, Nicole Pederson, getting to know a friendly white kangaroo at the Caversham Wildlife Park on Feb. 28.

The video, posted to Facebook, shows Pederson laughing as the kangaroo enthusiastically hugs her and leans in for a kiss.

The kangaroo ends up with a mouthful of the student's hair as she jokes, "OK, it's actually attacking me."

Pederson's friends pulled the kangaroo away from her so she could stand up.

"I always joked about Nicole meeting a cute Australian, and it looks like she got her wish!" McLay wrote online.
