STOCKHOLM, Sweden, March 2 (UPI) -- The Swedish arm of fast food chain McDonald's is testing out a specially designed Happy Meal box that folds into a virtual reality viewer.

The "Happy Goggles" box, being tested at McDonald's locations in Sweden, includes instructions folding the box into a Google cardboard-like VR viewer for smartphones.

The fast food chain released a YouTube video to promote the Happy Goggles and explain how they work.

"It's our mission to ensure that the World's most famous box will continue to be magical and relevant to families for another 30 years," McDonald's said on a website set up to promote Happy Goggles. "The Happy Meal simply must move with the times. But evolution doesn't always mean radical change. For us it meant a bit of ripping, folding and sliding."

The company said it developed a ski game called Watch Out on the Slopes for Happy Goggles users to try out. The game is officially endorsed by the Swedish alpine ski team.
