Clever parrot solves series of puzzles to unlock treat

NICOSIA, Cyprus, March 2 (UPI) -- A proud pet owner in Cyprus shared video of his clever parrot solving a number of puzzles in rapid succession to unlock a treat.

The video, posted to YouTube by Yiannos Savva, shows an African grey parrot named Mailo solving a series of puzzles to open a clear plastic box with a treat inside.

Mailo's puzzles include spinning a wheel to remove a screw, pulling out a bolt, undoing a latch and removing a lock.

Savva branded Mailo "one of the smartest African greys in the world!"
