Drone takes aerial tour of abandoned Ohio theme park

AURORA, Ohio, Feb. 24 (UPI) -- A videographer took his drone on a haunting tour of the abandoned Geauga Lake theme park in Ohio, which was shut down in 2007.

The video, recorded with a 2 Phantom 3 Advanced drone and posted to YouTube by DiJi Aerial Media, offers an aerial tour of Geauga Lake, a theme park in Aurora that was in operation from 1887 until 2007.

The footage shows plant growth, empty spots where demolished and sold rides once stood, and dilapidated structures including the entrance building and a wooden roller coaster track.

"This is a tribute to all the memories that this park helped create," the uploader wrote in the video's description.
