DULUTH, Minn., Feb. 17 (UPI) -- A Minnesota photographer captured video of Lake Superior's waves pushing stacks of ice that resemble large shards of glass on the shore.

Dawn LaPoint, who posted the video to her Radiant Spirit Gallery Facebook page, said she visited the shore of Lake Superior in Duluth Saturday and captured footage of the unusual ice shards washing up on the beach.

"I am at awe and mesmerized by ice stacking (and waves), and spent hours immersed in the sights and sounds of one of my favorite winter occurrences (despite the subzero temps and frigid breeze). I hope you enjoy this glimpse into an incredible experience along the shores of Gitche Gumee!" LaPoint wrote.

LaPoint said the temperature was about 8 degrees below zero at the time of her filming.
