Police discover large haul of stolen children's toys

TE AWAMUTU, New Zealand, Feb. 16 (UPI) -- Police in New Zealand uncovered a large haul of stolen children toys while on an unrelated search.

Video shared to Te Awamutu police's Facebook page shows several ridable children's toys including toy cars, tractors, bicycles and remote control cars.

"After a recent unrelated search warrant a large amount of children's toys have been discovered that for a number of reasons didn't fit in at where they were found," they wrote on Facebook.

Detectives in the area are looking to contact the toys potential owners and have encouraged those who believe they were victims of these thefts to come forward.

Te Awamutu police also informed potential victims that they will not be able to return the toys until the prosecution of the case was finished.
