RIVERINA , Australia, Feb. 11 (UPI) -- A photo showed a small daddy-long-legs spider appearing victorious in a scuffle with a deadly brown snake in Australia.

The photo shared by Patrick Lees through his Facebook page The Aussie Farmer, shows the lifeless snake strung up by the tail in the spider's web.

"Death by daddy-long-legs," he wrote on Facebook along with hashtags that read "kill or be killed" and "everything in Australia will kill you."

Lees told ABC News that this was the first time he had ever seen a spider kill a snake.

"I've heard about it, but I've never seen it, let alone a daddy-long-legs," he said.

Lees added that he left the snake's body alone as a group of spiders continued to spin webs around it.
